Every 6 months, an extra 5 lbs on the body is equivalent vascularily to the heart pumping a trip to the moon and back! The average person in the US is 30 lbs overweight, imagine how much strain that puts on the heart. We in Canada are not too far behind and thats frightening.

MS Walk Toronto, April 19th, 2009
April 10, 2009

There is a great event coming up that we would like to help spread awareness of, and that is the upcoming MS Walk with the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada. The MS Walk is in its 18th year and is an annual fundraiser of the MS Society. This year’s MS Walk takes place on Sunday April 19th. It’s a fun, family-oriented event that raises funds for multiple sclerosis research and services. If you are not local or cannot attend and want to sponsor a walker, this is a great opportunity.
They also have a “text to win” contest where Ontario residents can enter to win an iPod Touch by texting the word ‘MSBLOG” to 101010. The contest deadline is the same day of the walk (April 19th, 2009). Contest rules are available online. Please click here for more details.
Multiple Sclerosis is a debilitating and stressful disease and many people affected are turning to complimentary and alternative medicines, including healthy eating advice and massage as a way to help manage the effects of their disease. we have been combining Craniosacral Therapy, Healing Touch Therapy, and Shiatsu massage to clients suffering from MS and other health issues, offering them all-encompassing health and wellness sessions. Combining these gentle, hands-on techniques has been extremely successful in giving clients the results and relief that they are seeking, but have otherwise not been able to achieve.
If you or someone you know are seeking relief from the symptoms and stress involved with MS, or any other debilitating disease, please do check out You Potentiality. We are more than happy to schedule a session with you – in the comfort of your own home or office if you prefer.
